Open Letter to S.C. Rep. Nancy Mace, Who Solicited Funds from Me Pursuant to her Voting to Oust Rep. McCarthy from the Speakership
Dear Rep. Nancy Mace:
It will be of no consequence to you that I, a moderate conservative, believe your judgment, the key quality for political leaders, was terribly flawed, to say the least, in voting to vacate the Speaker’s position.
I doubt you will read this, but prior to this vote, I told countless conservatives to keep their eyes on you, as you were a likely responsible leader — my irresponsible premature judgment.
I have no doubt that Speaker McCarthy disappointed you in ways that made him less than a perfect Speaker, but your nuclear reaction destroyed so much of that which surrounds conservative causes, plus your alignment with utterly self-centered irresponsible Republican congresspersons, such as Rep. Gaetz, can be interpreted as nothing but utterly reckless.
You have solidified your support with all but your serious colleagues.
